To apply for residency in Paraguay, you must prepare and apostille the following documents:
Required Documents:
(1) Birth Certificate: Must be apostilled by the issuing country (usually your country of birth). If you were born in a different country than the one issuing your passport, the birth certificate must still be apostilled by the country where it was issued.
(2) Criminal Record Check: This can be obtained from your home country (passport-issuing country), your country of birth, or any other country where you have resided for the past five (5) years. Required for applicants aged 14 and older. If the police record is from a country different from your birth or passport country, it must cover at least five years and be supported by a photo ID issued by that country, also apostilled.
(3) Marriage Certificate / Divorce Certificate / Death Certificate (if applicable): If you wish for your Cedula to reflect your marital status, the marriage certificate must be apostilled.
Optional Documents for Apostille:
• University Degree or Professional Qualification: If you plan to work in Paraguay, apostilling your degree(s) can help verify their authenticity.
• Driving License: Apostilling your driving license can simplify obtaining a Paraguayan license.
